George Lewis Jr. has put a very formidable album indeed with Forget, the debut LP from his Brooklyn based disco rock outfit Twin Shadow. Produced by Grizzly Bear's Christopher Taylor, Forget encompasses hip hop, funk, disco and rock music in one neat hell of a debut album. There is an abundance of 80s going on here ranging from Joy Division to The Cure, leading me to the conclusion that 2010 is all about 80s sounding debuts (Wild Nothing, The Drums) "Shooting Holes" is just a preview to this guy's talent, but really the whole album is necessary to listen to!
