The new Pains Of Being Pure At Heart record is produced and mixed by Flood and Alan Moulder, the same guys who worked on Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness, and also helped with records from Depeche Mode and Nine Inch Nails. "Belong," the title track, sounds like Smashing Pumpkins in their prime and it's a fucking refreshing take from the dreamy indie pop of their debut, which kind of sounded a tad redundant. Belong is out March 29th, and it looks like its going to be seriously bad ass.
