Ok, when Das Racist first released "Combination Pizza Hut and Taco Bell" I really couldn't understand why it was being noticed amidst the blogsophere, heck it was even on the best new music playlist on Pitchfork. Their newest track though, produced by none other than up and coming producer Boi-1da (producer of Drake's "Up All Night" and Pimp C's "What Up?) samples the Days Of Our Lives theme song. There's even a reference to Dwight Shrute, and also a confession that they weren't really into Days, but more General Hospital fans. It could be a commentary on how ridiculously stupid and redundant most hip hop is, or it could just be a song where they're not joking, just joking, we are joking, just joking, we not joking. Either way it's fucking jokes.
