I'm sure nobody expected Royksopp to follow an energetic electro pop album like last year's Junior with a darker, vocal-less record, appropriately titled Senior. Though it's been getting criticized, Senior is a pretty decent record; it's more of a chilling out brand of beats than their earlier stuff, but noteworthy nonetheless. "The Drug" is an example of their diversity; from making weird pop music with Karin Dreijer Andersson they're now making music that can be classified with Pantha Du Prince or Four Tet. Though I enjoy the pop stuff more, "The Drug" is a grimy track, something to get stoned to.
