For those who were expecting folk mastery at its best when indie King Sufjan Stevens announced his first proper LP in five years, you're going to be disappointed. But for those true Sufjan fans, his first single "I Walked," off the upcoming The Age Of Adz, will easily win you over. Reminiscent more of his "You Are The Blood" cover of the Castanets more than anything else Sufjan has released, "I walked" is a downtempo synth ballad, exploring distorted sounds, with a heavy reverb on the vocals. There is no folk charm here like timeless classic "Chicago,"rather, a captivating score that truly crosses unchartered territory for Sufjan. The Age Of Adz is due on October 12.
