Fool's Gold put an awesome self titled debut LP; singing in Hebrew particularly sparked my interest, but turns out these guys aren't even Israeli. They're remix of Local Natives is spot on, transforming it into a climactic electronic/hip hop song. The loud synths and quiet verses makes this one of those rare songs where the remix might actually be better than the original. The chorus is so grimy, those hand claps and that bass! Unheard of rapper Aristotle Pop A Bottle spits on it near the end, chanting "you're fuckin eyes wide!" Sick. Fool's Gold does a great job transforming this folk mastery into a spacey deafening zinger. Local Natives put out an impressive LP this year with Gorilla Manor garnering comparisons to Grizzly Bear. This might be my favourite remix of the year....
